We had such a great time at Little E's teddy bear picnic themed birthday party yesterday!
She impressed me to no end by napping for an hour and 35 minutes taking us right up to party time (actually just enough time to give her a little snack and change her into her party duds). Little E was a great little host too, making her rounds from kitchen to living room to bathroom greeting all her guests and offering them whatever she found on the floor or unraveling toilet paper in anticipation of their needs.
The set up was also charming if I do say so, absolutely a group effort and credit goes to Auntie Soph for her now famous fried chicken and her help with all the other food prep, Daddy C for the super cute background slide show, Great Grandma Shirley for her ingenious ribbon solution and of course Granny for her sparkling clean tendencies and for entertaining Little E.
I think we all had a pretty great time. Little E is celebrating still with all of her fabulous loot.
The menu: fried chicken, devilled eggs, cucumber sandwiches, corn on the cob, watermelon, potato salads, chips, lemonade with frozen raspberries
The flowers: white daisies (april's birth flower), red gerbera daisies, yellow tulips
Accents: red gingham table cloth, classic picnic basket at the door
Goodie bags: homemade gingerbread bears
The cake: vanilla cupcakes with mango buttercream icing (minus the honey)
